Xperia XA1 possibly hardbricked

Hiii all.

i think my xa1 is hardbricked, all im getting is a red light when i connect my charger and my pc recognising it as an unknown device in device manager, it stays there for a couple of minutes then disconnects, 10 seconds later it reconnects.. does this all the time.

it started because i was backing up my device via pc companion as i needed to use the repair software via companion, finished the backup and went straight to software repair, literally just more than half way through something went wrong, companion crashed and had to close it through task manager, the green led on my device was now red and unable to boot my phone. i tried companion again and i wasnt able to put my phone in fastboot to get companion to recognise it. my pc makes a noise when i connect it and disconnect and it shows up as an unknown device. surely if it was completely bricked, it wouldnt do this would it?

is there anything i can do to repair this as there isnt a service center near me and i know how long it takes fr them to send your phone back to you,

i have tried all the usual button tricks, i get a purple led blink when i hold power and either volume buttons for 20 seconds.

test with a different computer, I would suggest uninstall XC but if you do so, you will lose your backup, make sure to charge the phone for an hour or so.

I haven’t tried with another computer yet but I will do this now. The phone was on 95% and I have been charging it a few times throughout the day. I just hope this other pc can recognise it, just find it weird that my pc shows it as an unknown device. I will get back to you once I’ve tried again. Thank you for your response

i have tried with a different computer with windows 10 installed and it shows up as an unkown device then windows installs it as a usb serial device, nothing shows up on this pc where it shows hard disks etc, and it still connects and disconnects like before.. just dont know what else to do now

its ok.. ive sent it to sony as its under warranty. lets see if they can sort it
