Upgraded from Sony aqua to xperia xa1 same sim card and the signal is not what I expected, doesn't even work most the time.
GPS on Google maps is all over the place and can't even use the sat nav
Disappointed in Sony any one else had signal issues

Bought Xperia Xa1 on 24th May 2017, having issue in Connectivity to 4G, no network bars are available, tried with 3g-WCDMA got connected but with not proper speed. Same SIM , i have tried with other phones, but am geting proper 4g connectivity and speed.
Given the set to Sony Service centre on 25th May, and they after verifying, given me a statement for replacement. Little worried about the Model now.
Query:- If i get the same network issue in the new set, would i get refund from sony?? If not can i upgrade to a new model??

I bought a Sony Xperia XA1 just over a week ago, and so far I have been able to send three SMS txt messages and make one- ONE call! and that was the day I bought it....
Ever since I have had, and continue to have absolutely NO phone signal(Reception or 'normal' phone signal!),
Each time I attempt to make a call, It either: Attempts to call for about 20 seconds, then just makes a "bloop" sound and ends call, or says: I do not have network coverage.
Sometimes I have up to 2 bars 'indicated signal' on screen, but recently I have none.
I have tried my sim in two different phones, and can make calls and send txts immeditly, so It MUST be a problem with the phone. I have taken it into the shop I bought it from, and they say it works, but they tried it in the shop, in the middle of a city. I do not lve in the city so the outcome of the test was irrelivant, as It does not work where I live.
Conclusion: I can get signal in other phones where I want to use the phone, so it must be a problem with the phone when recieving a signal.

I have faced same issue with my xperia xa1. My xperia xa1 is showing weak signal (1 bar) in the places where I used to get strong signal reception(full bars) with iPhone 5S.
It makes me regret that I switched from iPhone to Sony.
If everyone is facing the same issue, this is clearly a design flaw, I urge Sony to recall the phones and refund.
If Sony says it is a matter of software, I doublt how they develop and test a product before selling in market.
It is shame on Sony if they ignore customers' inconvenience and frustration for buying Sony products.

Everyone is having the same issue. Weak network signal and touch screen unresponsive issue.
Sony should recall Xperia XA1 and refund.
I don't want and I don't like put on fires but did you all try if the model topic of the issue is the right one for your country? It can be a problem with bands rather than phone. I suspect in fact that you have international/variants of a phone that shouldn't have been commercialized in your area.
Then.. question.. is that 4G aka H+ or is it 4G LTE?

yesteday only i purchased the XA1, but found the signal strengeth is very, all the mobiles are working expcept my mobile.
Daer Sony Team - Pls resolve this is issue other wise i will go to consumer court.
you guys are cheated - i will through XA1

can move consumer court as a group (if possible)

i have the exact same problem, been using my old phone for the time being.
im thinking I will end up buying a different phone but can't basically spend £160 for nothing.
sony say you can book your mobile in for repair from support website, but I haven't managed to do that either. It's not that clear
if I manage to find something I will let you know, can you do the same and let me know if they offer a solution for you
