Xperia xa1 bad signal

Hi

Upgraded from Sony aqua to xperia xa1 same sim card and the signal is not what I expected, doesn't even work most the time. 

GPS on Google maps is all over the place and can't even use the sat nav

Disappointed in Sony any one else had signal issues

Hi Team Sony,

Bought Xperia Xa1 on 24th May 2017, having issue in Connectivity to 4G, no network bars are available, tried with 3g-WCDMA got connected but with not proper speed. Same SIM , i have tried with other phones, but am geting proper 4g connectivity and speed.

Given the set to Sony Service centre on 25th May, and they after verifying, given me a statement for replacement. Little worried about the Model now.

Query:- If i get the same network issue in the new set, would i get refund from sony?? If not can i upgrade to a new model??

I bought a Sony Xperia XA1 just over a week ago, and so far I have been able to send three SMS txt messages and make one- ONE call! and that was the day I bought it....

Ever since I have had, and continue to have absolutely NO phone signal(Reception or 'normal' phone signal!),

Each time I attempt to make a call, It either: Attempts to call for about 20 seconds, then just makes a "bloop" sound and ends call, or says: I do not have network coverage.

Sometimes I have up to 2 bars 'indicated signal' on screen, but recently I have none.

I have tried my sim in two different phones, and can make calls and send txts immeditly, so It MUST be a problem with the phone. I have taken it into the shop I bought it from, and they say it works, but they tried it in the shop, in the middle of a city. I do not lve in the city so the outcome of the test was irrelivant, as It does not work where I live.

Conclusion: I can get signal in other phones where I want to use the phone, so it must be a problem with the phone when recieving a signal.

I have faced same issue with my xperia xa1. My xperia xa1 is showing weak signal (1 bar) in the places where I used to get strong signal reception(full bars) with iPhone 5S.

It makes me regret that I switched from iPhone to Sony.

If everyone is facing the same issue, this is clearly a design flaw, I urge Sony to recall the phones and refund.

If Sony says it is a matter of software, I doublt how they develop and test a product before selling in market.


It is shame on Sony if they ignore customers' inconvenience and frustration for buying Sony products.

I am fans of SONY products since childhood. We have been using SONY's products from almost all categories like TV, Mobile,sound systems, SLR, headphones and Mobiles. Sony Has developed lots of best in category products. Sony has worked hard to create this Brand Image and Brand Recognition. 
 
I know SONY means excellence. But its really hard to accept that when we bought SONY Xperia XA 1. We have purchased SONY Xperia XA1 (XA1) from SONY Premier Retailer, Gokulpeth, Nagpur - 440010, on 18th May 2017, Delivery Memo : 727, IMEI # *personal info removed*, By the Name of Vina Sawarkar;. We were happy about our purchase. We got new 4G Simcard for New mobile. 
 
Within a day or two we observed the we are not getting proper coverage on this mobile. and our customers started complaining that most of the time we are non reachable (We run a business in which network coverage is very crucial). then we stared comparing XA1 with my other mobile MOTO Z Play (Z Play). while we were getting full coverage on Z play, there wa just one or two bars on XA1, We took the Mobile to the Shop and explained them the issue. They asked us to go to Service center and get it checked by technicians. SO we went to Sai Systems, Abhyankar Nager, Nagpur - 440010, We met the technician and explained the issue,He did his tests for some time. He concluded that the issue is positive and we got the replacement from the store, on 23rd May 2017, witth IMEI # *personal info removed*
 
We really appreciated the efforts  taken by Mr. Praful, to rectify our issue. We took new piece and went back home. Again we observed the same issue. so we went to Store again on 26th May 2017. We were suggested to change the sim and check for few days. So we changed sim and observed for another 2 days. But issue was same. we took photographs to show Mr. Praful and went to store on 29th May 2017 again. this time they Asked us to go to Innovation Computers, Telephone Exchange Square, Nagpur - 440009. We met Mr. Rakesh there and explained the issue on 29th may 2017. He had words with his seniors and did some tests on our mobile. He was also asked to compare our XA1 with their's. It was Shocking that.both were having same coverage of same service provider. He tried it with another 3 service providers but result was same. then we compared our XA1, Service center XA1, Z Play on IDEA network,
both XA1 had 1 bar vs Moto Z Play had full coverage. He asked us for two days so he can get some reply from his seniors. 
It concludes that XA 1 has network issue and we can not afford to have such mobile with us as I mentioned before our business is dependent on mobile. We have lost more than 1 lack of business with these 10 days. 
We request for refund of our money and restore the Brand , SONY. its been very exhausting process for us to go through. 
I do respect SONY as they have provided us with lots of great products. I do not want to post this on social media and other medium. Its our Hubble request for refunds. So i can shop SONY products in future without Hesitation.

Everyone is having the same issue. Weak network signal and touch screen unresponsive issue.

Sony should recall Xperia XA1 and refund.

I don't want and I don't like put on fires but did you all try if the model topic of the issue is the right one for your country? It can be a problem with bands rather than phone. I suspect in fact that you have international/variants of a phone that shouldn't have been commercialized in your area. 

Then.. question.. is that 4G aka H+ or is it 4G LTE?

yesteday only i purchased the XA1, but found the signal strengeth is very, all the mobiles are  working expcept my mobile.

Daer Sony Team - Pls resolve this is issue other wise i will go to consumer court.

you guys are cheated - i will through XA1

Hi

i have the exact same problem, been using my old phone for the time being.

im thinking I will end up buying a different phone but can't basically spend £160 for nothing.

sony say you can book your mobile in for repair from support website, but I haven't managed to do that either. It's not that clear 

if I manage to find something I will let you know, can you do the same and let me know if they offer a solution for you
