Xperia XA mobile Internet can't add APN

I have an Xperia XA and unfortunately my mobile internet doesn't work.

WLAN works fine. No stamina mode enabled or sth. like that.

I try to add an APN and after I filled in the data and saved it no APN is shown and no internet works.

My APN settings:

  • Name: Eplus Internet
  • APN: internet.eplus.de
  • Nutzername: eplus
  • Passwort: internet
  • MMSC: http://mms/eplus
  • MMS Proxy: 212.023.097.153
  • MCC: 262
  • MNC: 03
  • APN Typ: default

Help anyone?

btw: restart already done.

@benberlin

What if you contact your carrier/network and ask them to send the APN settings OTA?

Hi @benberlin, Welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this Slightly_frowning_Face

Try downloading the settings automatically by going to Settings > More > Internet Settings and accepting.

This should download and apply all the correct APNs for your network.

Thank you CameronT for your answer!

I tried it about 3 times now but it doesn't work 😕

It's downloading and finishing, but nothing happens after that. No APN entries, no mobile Internet.

@benberlin, is your phone locked to another network? Have you checked with your operator that the settings are correct?

Thanks for your answer!

I disabled WLAN and restartet - so no network connected.

If you talk about the provider - I use BASE. In the Menu "Dienstanbieter" (=service provider, host) I have listed 3 BASE options "BASE LTE, BASE 3G, BASE 2G". I tried all of them - none of it works. I also tried resetting APN settings and manually adding one (as mentioned above).

Do you know if it is network locked?

Dial *#*#7378423#*#*

Then click "Service Info" and press "SIM Lock"

If all the first 5 words end with "0" means your phone is not carier locked.

@benberlin, very strange Thinking_Face Is it the same in safe mode? If so, you may wish to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.
