Hi @Rerus, let me see if i can help out here. 

Is it the same software update that is poping up every time or does the version number vary from time o time?

You might experience that if you have bought an Xperia device that is not a completely new model, there may be a few software updates available. You can either install them one by one, and restart your device after every update, or you can perform a software repair using Xperia Companion and a computer and your device will get the latest update at once. 

Please note though that a software repair will erase all user data from the device, so make sure to do a backup before repairing the software.
