Can you please elaborate so we can help out?

Do you get an error message when connecting your handset to a PC? Does the connection feel like it doesn't sit right? Is a PC not detecting your phone?

1)try original usb cable

2)try other usb cable

3)connect directly to PC (no hubs or extensions)

4)usb port is damaged at pc (or switch to USB1.1 to USB2.0/3.0)

- do you want to upload/download files?

When you connect there should be a popup window that askes you to decide chargeing or Media Transfer.

After tapping Media Transfer you can upload/download files/photo's.

Mine also. I've tried several times, it doesn't even allow one to change the option on what you'd like to do with the USB cable, it stays on "charge"

tried on all of my computers (1 desktop pc on windows 7 service pack 1, 1 hp laptop on windows 7 service pack 1 and 1 desktop pc on windows 8). None of them can detect my Xperia XA1 after updating to Oreo and to the latest software package for Sony (just updated a few hours ago). 

What's thhe next step?

Hi... I'm experiencing the exact same issues for the past few weeks... Went as far as Factory reset and Developer mode to change the USB settings. Still no joy. Avid Sony fan ever since the original Z. Please assist...
