Xa1 plus Phone won't turn on.

I was on a call and the screen turned off, 

Tried restarting the device but did not work. 

I turned it on by holding the volume down + power button(saw this on YouTube) . I had this problem like 3 time and the phone is jus  a week old. Sould I return the phone or is this a software problem  ?

You can try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory, thus eliminating any software issues that might be causing this. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.

If the problem persists after the software repair, then it might be a hardware issue and it would be better to contact your Local support, or the retailer if you wish to replace/refund it.

I have the same issue just now. Tried holding the power button and everything. I even installed the Xperia Companion to repair unfortunately my PC can't find the phone after connecting them with the USB so I wasn't able to proceed with the repair. I was wondering what to do next if this happens. Any other course of action available?
