I had a link pop up on Chrome on my Xperia XA climing something about a virus.
It said - Close this link at your peril!
I didn't stay to read the rest. I closed the tab on Chrome. Nothing happened but a couple of days later it happened again. I think it's from a Facebook group link and I expect it is trying to get me to instal some malware.
Can an Xperia have a virus?
Has anyone else seen this?
If it happens again I will probably do a factory reset.

Hi @AFR46
The app you were using or the web page you opened when this occurred may contain advertisements in the form of a message warning you about viruses. If the message is an advertisement it can be ignored.
Make sure, however, that the notification does not come from a virus protection app you may have installed on your device.
If it is an advertisement make sure you refrain from downloading any software prompted by the pop up
