Poor battery

My Sony Xperia is 9 months old.  The battery runs out very quickly. Phone gets hot.  Please advise.

Can you please test your phone in safe mode and see if it is the same thing?

@WINNIE17 can you go to Settings > Battery > Show battery usage and post a screenshot of the list of the apps showing there? perhaps it's caused by a rogue app.
