Yesterday I saw there was a new system update available for my Xperia XA and since I had little storage left I transfered all my photos, videos and music files to my SD card and I got the notification that the transfer was successful. Afterwards. I didn't check the gallery or anything, I just installed the update which went smoothly as well. Today I opened the gallery for the first time and only about 15 screenshots and 10 videos were there intact, all the other ~1000 photos were just a black screen with a camera icon. Random ones were there but in terrible resolution. I checked file manager and couldn't find those files under sd card, however I did find them under pictures where it said they're on memory card (/storage/0914-1801/DCIM/100ANDRO/...). The size of all of them is just 32,00 KB. Later I revisited gallery and all video files are now gone.
If anyone knows anything about how to fix this I'd be forever grateful for a reply though I hope noone else had to go through this.
