Welcome to the community! 

Are you referring to a password to start the device, so when you turn it on you are asked to enter a pin or password before the phone will completely boot up. Or are you wanting to remove the password on a screen lock?

Welcome to the community 

If you have a password you wont to remove, simply go to settings > lock screen > screen lock > enter your password > swipe

If you would rather have a pin or pattern, you can select this option instead of swipe
