Only see top 10% of photo taken

I took a photo and now I can see the full thumbnail when I use the photo app but when I click on the thumbnail all I can see of the expanded photo is about the top 10% and the rest is blank. Is there a way to recover the full shot?

Is this using sd card or internal memory?

It's stored on the sd card but now I've taken some shots and can't open them with anything but the photo app. If I try to transfer them to anywhere else or to a pc or send them by any means, they can't be looked at.

That seems like a corrupted SD card.

I agree, all the signs of a corrupt or fake sized sd card.

If you have access to a pc, get h2testw application which tests sd cards.

The program is free and used by many people to verify sd cards.

Full format failed so that seems to be the problem. Thanks
