Not Happy

Hi,

Is anyone having issues with Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra canging the font and display sizes from the defalut settingsto large and largest respectively?

I am now on my second handset and the same issue as before, I have done a software repair and a hard reset it has been to the repair centre and they can find nothing wrong.

I have sent screenshots to Sony as everytime I restart the device the font and display settings go back to the default factory settings.

Now have to wait for Sony to get back to me.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone and I'm sorry to hear about the behaviour all of you are experiencing with your Xperia XA1 Ultra devices.

You might experience that the font size is changed back to the default size after restarting the device. The font size in Settings menu may show the size you set, but the actual font may appear in the default size. This is a known behaviour that will be corrected in the next software release.

Note! Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Affected Xperia™ devices and software versions

Xperia XA1 with 40.0.A.6.175 and 40.0.A.6.162
Xperia XA1 Ultra with 42.0.A.4.153 and 42.0.A.4.133
Xperia XA1 Plus with 48.0.A.1.117 and 48.0.A.1.99

Hi Brobddy,

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it.

Please excuse my ignorence, but please could you tell me how do I flush theme settings and cache?

I will send screen shot once I have tried the above step you have suggested.

Thanks again.

Step 1: Head to the Settings menu. ...
Step 2: Find Apps (or Applications, depending on your device) in the menu, then locate the app that you want to clear the cache or data for.
Step 3: Tap on Storage and the buttons for clearing the cache and app data will become available (pictured above).

example for camera app, do it for all your themes

What causes system updates to fail while updating. This is not cool, moreover, I had to endure a week without a phone while my service provider had sent my phone for repairs and my memory was never recovered whereas the problem was not caused by myself.

This is not fair on the end-user/ client as it had been strenuous to be without a phone for such a long time.
