Just done the latest update on my sony experia and now got a X by my phone signal

Just done the latest update on my sony experia xa1 since this I get a X next to my phone signal.

@Bluebrum try the following:

1) Restart the phone - if this doesn't work.. 

2) Settings, More, Internet Settings (Download Settings..) - If this doesn't work...

3) Settings, More, Network Settings Reset - If this doesn't work...

4) Turn off your phone, remove the sim card, turn on the phone again, wait to see the message "No Sim Inserted" - insert the sim card, phone should restart automatically if not, restart... - If this doesn't work...

5) Restart Phone in safe mode (but I doubt it's a software issue)...

Hi @Bluebrum, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this.

Please do follow @YoGem's advice. If, in Safe Mode, the issue goes away, it would indicate the problem is with a third party application. Make sure all your apps are up to date in that case.

Otherwise, I recommend you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion to reinstall the update.

@Bluebrum do you use your phone with mobile data disabled? if so, the X next to the signal indicator says that you have no mobile data connection (but can still make calls and send SMS).
