Hello everyone!

In regards to why this feature is no longer available, please see the information below.

Google stopped providing the possibility to move apps to an SD card to secure the security and the privacy in Android 6. This feature was removed from Android, but we continued to support it further for some time. However, we decided not to keep our solution to move apps to an SD card for users security and privacy.

I hope that answers your question! Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi @Renson2018, welcome to our forum!

The Xperia XA2 Plus does not support transferring applications to your SD card and you can not install them directly on the SD card either. Some applications can save data to the SD card, such as offline maps, offline playlists and so forth, but this is entirely up to the developer of the specific application.

You can however save photos, videos and locally stored music on the SD card by transferring them using the inbuilt feature found in Settings > Storage > Transfer data to SD Card.

I hope that answers your question!

Applications do not move to sd card

Hi @gocer79, I apologize for the late reply.

Apps can't be transferred to an SD card in the Xperia XA2 Plus, that is why you aren't able to move them there.

Do note that some applications can still save data to the SD card, but this depends on the application and how it has been developed.

I hope that answers your question!
