This experia XA was bought last year from Australia and used for 2-3months only. Upon arirval at home in Antipolo. The phone is not working. We did on and off for several times. We even tried to bring to the Sony CUtsomer Service for repair, but was told to pay 4k as service/repair fee. This has an international warranty how come this is not covered here in the philippines? We are really after the warranty since the cellphone is just as new as mentioned earlier used only 2-3 months only. Also, is that really the rate?? 4K?? ANyone can help me on this. I'm not aware of any International warranty and it is usually tied to the region/market where the device was bought, in your case Australia / Oceania.
You can however double check this with either the Australian Local support or the one in the Philippines. They will be able to provide you with a more detailed answer than I can since I work globally and warranty terms may differ between markets / regions. They can also answer any questions you have regarding local service routines, such as the cost of the repair.
