I have an Xperia XA1 and use hotmail/outlook. I can see the headers of received emails but not the body of the text. I can't send new emails or forward existing emails. I can see that they're there but can't read them. Can anyone help please?

Are you using the pre-loaded Email app or are you using the Outlook app or Gmail?
yes, you can use Gmail with non-google accounts.
