Connected to Wi-fI and Mobile Data is turn off, but still getting charge for data browsing

Even I'm connected to Wi-fI and Mobile Data is turn off, I'm still getting charge for data browsing,

How'd you know you are still charged?

does this happen when you are in safe mode?

i'm being informed by my wireless carrier that i'm using mobile data from my sim while i'm connected to my wifi for browsing. even my mobile data is turn off

Have you turned off background data for each app individually. Go to settings then WiFi and or data under the graph will be the list of apps used click on each and every one and set the slider to the on position this should stop any app from using a internet connection whether it be WiFi or data unless you are using it

Also in settings location tap the three dots top right then turn both sliders to the off position

That's all I do, turn off auto syncing, all apps background data is disabled and I only use the data connection when needed mainly and I'm on a contract and never get charged for extra/background data.

@jackRenz16 try going to settings then WiFi/data(do this for both) under the usage graph you'll see a list of all the apps in your device you've used. click on each and every app in the list and set the slider to the on position to restrict background data use for each individual app. I have no data being used unless I tell it too by switching on my 4g data used all my Xperia devices in this way with no effect on syncing ect.
