Black screen, after making a call

My newly bougt xa1 ultra stays black when I have called and get to the answering machin. And it is impossible to waik it up. Trying the powerbuton but no responde. Hoding it down for long time ,more than 15 sec and nothing happen. Until next incomeing call, then Im back.

Is there a protective film on the screen of the handset? If so, can you remove this and see if you have the same issues?

No,its clean. The phone is as it comes out of the box.. I ran the test program an it says that the near sensor is defect. Could it be a bug, or shall i go to the shop and repair it.

Thanks for confirming that, we always check this as some handsets will have a protective film on the screen when packaged which need to be removed or they can cause issues with the touch screen and proximity sensor as they shouldn't be left on the screen 

Can you test the phone in safe mode and see if you still have issues? If so, next step would be running a software repair using Xperia Companion.

If you still have problems, then get in contact with Local support so they can assist or the store of purchase if you prefer

had the same, solved for NOW

1) disable STAMINA

2) disable Smart Backlight

3) restart

I found the plasic shield .It was almost invidible. Removed it, enabled the powerbuton to end call. Have not seen the problem again. So hopefully its solved. 😀
