Hi, the option to auto rotate the screen has disappeared from settings > display> Anyone know why? I have restarted a number of times over the last two days and it hasn't fixed it. It has been working in the past.
Thanks

Hi @XaEZA, welcome to our forum and that sounds very strange.
To start with, could you please get back to me with which phone model that you have and which Android version that you have? You can find this information in Settings > About phone.
Can you turn the auto rotate off and on if you drag down the quick settings menu in your phone? You can also check if you have the setting called "When device is rotated" that you can find in Settings > Display.
Let me know how it went!

Hi, I have an Xperia XA, Android 7.0 model F3115.
The quick settings option worked though. I could turn it on/off so all good now. Thanks for quick response. Cheers
Thanks a lot for the information and I'm glad to hear that you could turn this feature on and off in the quick settings!
It does however sound very strange that you can't see the setting in the Settings > Display. I just had a look in an Xperia XA and the setting is called "When device is rotated" and is found in Settings > Display under the text "Interaction".
Can you see if you have this setting available in your phone? If you still don't see it, try resetting the Settings application. To do that, go to Settings > Apps > Settings > Storage > Clear data > OK, go back to Settings > Display.
