It take  around 8-9 hours to full charge and everyday become hot sometmes.

From a forum usage perspective perhaps calling this thread Xperia X long charging times would be better.

With regards to this query though -

Are you using the oringial charger and cable?

Have you tried another cable?

n addition to what Nathan said, it's not unusual for some debris to get caught in micro usb port.

You could try to clean it up, just be very careful.

I've done it multiple times, you need a thin piece of plastic, and try to cut it into a hook.

A long shot, and a last advice to listen, but somehow, I always manage to pull out dirt.

Solved charging on xperia M and Nexus 4 with that.

As for heat, you might want to check if there are any background processes running.

But generally, X has the tendency to get warm if playing games, or taking long vids, so YMMV .

Oh. I have seen other mention that the charging port can get pushed in - my own X seems to suffer from this. But unfortunately Sony service centres seem to be in completely incinveniinc locations in the UK. 

If so it's possible that you cable is not connecting properly or intermittently.
