Xperia X - Screen Issue when Enable Tap Twice To Wake Up Function - Help

Hi there ,

I got this Xperia X just 2 days ago and I notice some issue on the screenlock , wondering is anyone has a similiar issue and how can it be resolve ?

Below are my phone Setting :

1. Display --> Sleep ( 15 Seconds of Inactivity )

2. Lock & Security --> Screen Lock ( Pin )

3. Lock & Security --> Automactically Lock ( Lock Immediately after sleep )

4.Display --> Enable Tap Twice to Wake up

Problem Encounter : After 15 Second of Inactivity , the screen turns dim / black (sleep) and lock . However , after a few seconds the lock screen with clock display will appear up again and goes off again ...... then appear again .... keeps going on & off ... I am afraid it will drain out the battery as well.

I had tried ' Disabling Tap Twice to Wake up ' depending on on/off button  to activate the screen . I do not see the locksceen with clock display appearing on & off .

Had tried reset the phone to factory default , also facing the same issue itutation.

I had a Xperia Z5 with me it works fine .... after sleep mode it will lock and remains dark .

Anyone with Xperia X and having the same issue ?  And has a solution to it ?

Thanks.

Hi for my situation, it is totally different from yours.

Mine happens with or without case as long as the function is being enable. I can leave a phone there untouch at all n the screen will go on off.

May I know the final solution is send the phone to repair its display?

Guys I found something!

Slide your finger in the center smoothly!

It works obviously!

i' m so happy to reply with a solution!

I indirectly found that your problem is due to over sensitivity of the screen! To resolve this issue you have to enable show touches in developer mode, tap and scroll on the screen (it's really important that you tap, click ecc) and then disable the show touch option.

this operation seem to reduce over sensitively of screen and the double tap will work properly!
