Xperia X - Intermittent Charging Problems

Hi 

I have an xperia x which is intemittently charging.

it can charge for over an hour or more and then just stop.  

Ive left it overnight and its charged all through the night with no problem and then sometimes it hasnt., so its extremely random to say the least

I have tried 5 different cables so I know its the phone.

I have also tried cleaning the port.

My phone is 2 years old so wondering it its time to get a new one as it could be wear and tear?

any advice is welcome

I've had a phone in with the same problem. Bought a magnetic charcha cable and adapter. Just jammed the adapter in the port mine was from the brand elough. And now it charges like a charm. If you go for this solution be sure to never pry the adapter out because then the port will definitely be destrodes.

is it as you typed or there is a typo  "magnetic charcha cable"  or it should be "magnetic charger cable"

It's a typo   just type in elough magnetic charger and some Amazon links will be available.
