Model F5321, Build 34.3.A.0.252, Messaging version 29.3.A.4.15
Have had this phone for approximately a year now, and ever since I acquired it, after a period of a week or so, the default Messaging app (Sony-provided, not Google Messages) will start hanging, in many cases locking the phone application and other apps out until the phone is forcibly restarted. Once this starts, it seems to continue whether I dump cache and messages, reboot, or otherwise stop and restart the app, and the only full fix that I've found is a wholesale phone reset. I'm running the most up-to-date software available on the phone, but have had this issue for the entire lifespan of the device. I'd like to know if this is a known bug / issue with the app or if there are other things I can do besides a wipe / reset to fix the issue. As texting / phone is the primary use that I have for the device, this is going to force me to switch devices if it can't be resolved.
