X Compact - Boot Loop

I woke up this morning to find my phone going into a continuous boot loop.

I then did the power/volume up combo for 10 seconds which gave me back the control of being able to enter the PIN, however this still cycles through the boot loop after and then asks for the PIN.

I am trying to connect this back into Xperia Companion, but I cant seem to get it to recognise the phone.

How should be attempting to connect the phone, given it is in this state?

In Xperia Companion there is another option at Software repair.

In the left lower corner you can choose the option that your phone is not recognised by Xperia Companion.

Try that option.
