sony experia x compact no signal after software update

have done the latest update on my sony experia x compact and it stopped giving signal. the sim works fine on other phones.  tried to do a factory reset and a hard reset through sony companion but nothing works. any suggestions how to fix this . don't want to be sending the phone off anywhere.

Is your battery charged at >80%

Then try software repair again.

update 34.4.A.2.118 has rendered my phone useless. No service registering.I am on plusnet/EE network.
