on 09th May 2018 evening a system update was suggested (~235 Mb). After download and confirm to start update, the phone switched off and changed to a white screen with black "Sony" in the middle several hours, until the battery was empty (was at 74% when starting).
Today I tried to repair it with the Xperia Companion, but without sccess.
Any suggestions to this very very annoying issue?
First, try to force restart your phone to see if it goes normally:
1. Press and hold power & volume up simultaneously until the phone vibrates 3 times (minimum 10 seconds). This will force your phone to shut down.
2. Take out SIM & SD cards.
3. Try to start your phone again.
unfortunately no success. Also tried the software repair function in Xperia Companion now without SD and Sim, but failed again
Was there any interaction between phone and phone?
Sony Companion was set-up to repair uncomunicative device?
Was any progress during repairing?
For me i have tried repair phone thru SC 5 times, 4 times was unsuccesfull and but any try moved progress bar. At the and was it OK.
some details:
- the phone is not recognized by Xperia Companion automatically
- repair progress proceeds to approx. 15% and then stops with the faiure message
- have repeated it quite often now, progress ends always at same percentage
- also tried it after several hours of charging --> should be fully charged (state of charge isn't displayed)
- also tried it with admin rights...
...no success so far :-((((
