My phone wont turn on

When plugged in to a computer the LED light cycles between green -> off -> dim red -> bright red.

Holding power and up volume just cause 3 buzzes in a row and nothing else.

When i plug out the phone the sony logo flashes up for a quarter of a second twice with a break.

Holding down the power button can replicate this effect.

I've removed the sim too, the phone is externally undamaged in anyway as was purchased 5 months ago.

Try force safe mode by holding vol-down and power together.

 You will see repeatedly black and white with SONY screen.

When that happens release the power button and hold the Vol-down button.

If that doesn't resolve the problem you can try to repair your device with Xperia Companion.

Think I tried this.

Posted it to the repair centre this morning.

Pretty sure they will come up with some excuse not to honour the warranty.:smileygeek:

So the technition at the sony approved repair centre sent back the following pic and told me to get lost basically. Said it was damaged beyond repair and I had to give them 15 euro to get my phone back.

Since this phone was never immersed in a liquid I cant only assume the phone isnt even water resistant never mind waterproof.

4 out of my last 5 phones were sonys or sony ericsons, I guess ill go for some chinese brand from now on if the build quality from the thai factory means a mid end phone cant even stand a bit of rainwater or damp.

I'll see if chinese lads at the local repair shop can do anything but it looks like board damage.

When was that?

The date on the picture is so 2010, but the parts are so X Compact.

The aspects indicated don't look as bright as original.
