I've had my Xperia X for a year and a few months. It's been recording and playing sound fine until recently. Now it sometimes just decides not to record sound during video recording or voice recording. I reckon it's not the hardware because then on a different occasion it can suddenly record sound again. I've looked at all settings I can find and nothing looks wrong. The mic test that's included in the "Support" bit under Settings works fine. It also doesn't pick up sound in a guitar tuning app that was working fine before.
Does anyone know anything about this or have similar experiences?
I'm starting to think it might have something to do with low battery. I haven't tested my theory much yet but it could be happening when battery is low. I also think it can have something to do with the last Android update, I've got 8.0.0. Oreo. Can't remember it ever happening before it updated.
