I believe you are using swiftkey which is by default. Go to settings - language and input - select swiftkey keyboard. Then go to typing and autocorrect, there you have all the settings you might want to remove.

You can try the Google Keyboard, I like to turn off prediction, so that the punctuation marks shows up at the top row.

It doesn't work for premium.

Could this be one of the reasons they discontinued the range ? Only a few months after release ?

You've made awful swift key default and undisableble .

I also don't like Swiftkey, but I doubt it rocked mountains in regards of discontinuation of any phone line Slightly_smiling_Face

Also, I wouldn't disable system keyboard anyway, even if it was the worst I used. If user installed/third party keyboard "breaks" for some reason, the system, let's call it backup one, will help. This saved some users in the past.

As for Swiftkey itself, if you install another keyboard, you won't see it at all after selecting the new one. I'm practically unaware I have Swiftkey, and it surprises me each time I scroll through list of apps in settings (rarely though) .

I'd say, this is one of the easier "problems" to overcome Slightly_smiling_Face

Brilliant !! , Really Helpful reply! I did it ! your right !!! Thanks for your help!! I have downloaded and installed a keyboard without auto suggesstion and annoying awefull gestures (atleast *IMPORTANT * I HOPE THEY ARE LISTENING !* I could turn them off!) !! Really appreciate it! I am now rummaging around in the keyboards in Gplay and will decide on perhaps a better one later to settle with. Feel releived, because someone got back with an open answer, and atleast I have a choice and there was support on this !  ( I think the icing on the cake as to why I Really disliked swiftkey is its customer user support - you should see the responses it was giving to people who had similar questions: It made people think it was simply impossible to do , with absolute no regard or sympathy for the users ask. I think that is decietful, incredulous , plain misleading & wrong.) .! Slightly_smiling_Face

Im glad i discovered this forum!! Thank you sonymobile & no, I wont be disconneting my phone line so no worries there!

FYI I would have gone into StackOverflow to get some help/see if there was a work around/way , - even snatch and run some code (i imagined there had to be!) to uninstall-break it (yes it was that bad !) which incidentaly is how I discovered this forum!!

Thank You ! Thank you, thank you and Thank You Very much again !!! A simple easy many choice Solution to a simple non-problem in the end it seems! HUg you!! lol! Over.

Keep in mind what @schetz said about leaving Swiftkey in the background in case of a sudden collapse of the newly installed keyboard app.

Nevertheless here a tip howto 'uninstall' Swiftkey.

You can do it with adb

adb shell pm list packages | grep 'wift'
adb uninstall --user 0 com.sonymobile.swiftkey

I don't remember the exact name of the swiftkey app, thats why I do a search with 'wift'

The outcome should replace my guess 'com.sonymobile.swiftkey'
