So, bought this phone as new a month ago.
Since I started using it, I noticed a considerable amount of battery drain due to 'phone idle', 'android OS', 'google services' ecc.
So, I tried bearing with it for a couple of weeks, to let him setting down a bit even though I was barely able to reach around 2.5hrs of SOT out of one complete charging.
At that point, I started reading all the threads about this problem, and of course I also tried all the possible solutions, ending eventually with a software repair through the companion app.
Event without any application installed, this pattern of battery draining hasn't stopped at all, and right now I am struggling to reach 2hrs of SOT.
It's more than obvious that there is significant problem within the software: using actively the phone does not affect significantly the battery charge, or at least not more that expected.
guys I'd like to have some suggestion
what shoud I try?
[already tried: software repair, safe mode, wifi/blut.scanning, disabling mobile data and using just wifi(no difference at all), disabling all system apps, greenify]
It is such a shame! A part from that, the phone is great!
As I can see from screenshot you provided network coverage seems to be very low and that can affect the battery life. Try using different SIM or check battery stats where you will have strong network coverage.
@ppgsk17 is right.
Don't allow apps to scan for WiFi in the background and don't allow WiFi to search for networks when the screen is locked.
Especially under circumstances of low WiFi coverage these will keep your device busy and drain 🔋
Adapt some options.
Hello guys thanks for the replies
so, I already checked all the wifi scanning settings, but nothing has changed...
In the next days I'll have to change my sim, and it will be a good opportunity to verify its effects.
Anyway, during night, under good wifi signal, in about 6/7 hrs I lose roughly 15% of battery. With no bluetooth and no particoular apps running in background. Note that this also happened immediately after the software repair.
I suggest you to turn off your 4G signal, especially if you have a bad signal on your provider.
Hi,
I've already done that. No difference at all.
Anyway, using a different phone (x. mia1) with same settings, sim and same routine (same work place, same everything) absolutely no battery draining. More than two days with one charge. Just saying that with the same level of signal, I don't have draining.
Try downloading Battery Calibration app from Google Play Store and perform battery calibration with your phone. Maybe your battery cannot reach true 100% of battery charge and its only charged to maybe 50% but it shows that its 100%.
Hi Amar,
I've already done that. I also installed accubattery, but apparently there is nothing wrong with the battery. I am also using batterycare three days, but nothing has changed.
Even using the smarpthone quite severely during the day, phone idle is still on the top of battery usage (with play services and Android Os).
Any other ideas?
thanks
Well... thanks for the link, but that is implied to me!
And I can't see how it could be related to excessive phone idle-OS-google services that I'm experiencing!
