Welcome to the community,

I can confirm that this can be done however, you need to be on android 7.0 and above. See the instructions below.

To block a certain number

1. Find and tap Phone.
2. Find and tap the menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Block numbers > ADD A NUMBER.
3. Enter the phone number you want to block calls and texts from, then tap BLOCK

This can also be done within the messaging and Contacts application within there settings.

Open the message from the person you want to block. Go to three dots menu (upper right corner) – select "Block number".

you can use truecaller it will block the unwanted calls and sms
