Does phone GPS works like regular GPS device ?

Hello,

I got an Xperia X Compact recently and was wondering if I can use it as a GPS in my car when I am abroad like I could do with a "real" GPS device ? Can I still calculate routes and see my position in let's say google maps even though I don't have either WiFi or mobile data on ?

yes you can, make sure to download the maps (offline maps).

Maps.me and Here WeGo are perfect for offline navigation.

Open Maps > Offline maps > select your own map > select the area > Download > repeat as needed.
