Could not register my fingerprint

XP DUAL
The fingerprint scanner stopped working.
First about 2 weeks, I noticed that the sensor sensitivity decreased several times. And now I can not create prints at all.
The phone was restored 2 times through PC Companion.
Is it a hardware problem?

Call *#*#SERVICE#*#*  or *#*#7378423#*#* , which is the same.

goto Service tests, scroll all the way down and tap fingerprint test.

It should state Sensor OK
