Hi!

After upgrading X compact to Nougat today, i've noticed that it doesn't let me choose an application to change the alarm song from sd card. Can you help me?

Thank you anticipated!

Sony, thank you for answering!

I know everything about Settings but still didn't work...

I believe I found out why, and maybe you can take note about this: after I took it from the store, I did 3 important system upgrades, 2 for android MM and one for Nougat. An hour ago I did a factory reset to the latest system upgrade (Nougat) and seems everything goes well. For now I found that auto updater has issues at least the one from version 6 of android to 7.

After more testing the latest system upgrade, I will let you know if everything it's ok at this thread.

All the best!

Hi @yce

I'm sorry to hear about that.

I want to make sure that I understand your question correctly.

When you open up the Clock application > tap the "+" to add a new alarm > Alarm sound, it should now ask you which application you want to complete the action with, in my phone it's showing "Sound picker" and "Media Storage". Is it here that you have chosen an app to always be used?

If that is what you are experiencing, go to Settings > Apps > 3 dots > show system > Sound picker/Media storage > tap on the app > Open by default > Clear defaults.

Let me know how it goes and I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question!
