After upgrading to Android 8 some of the applications can't save their data to sd card

Hi there!

After upgrading to Android 8 some of the applications can't save their data to sd card.

Here're some of the apps: Google Music, MapsMe, Sygic. Moreover it's impossible to peek sd card as a destination storage in the menu of the app metioned above.

Though camera app manages to save new photos to sd card.

Thanks

Vlad

Reset to factory defaults indeed helped. But if to turn on SD card encryption, then the issue occures again.

Thanks

Same for me, some apps dont see the sd card storage as a option.  for example the Spotify app. maps programs, etc. Switching off the encryption on sd card is not solution for me. On Android 7.1.1 it worked without problem. Sony where is the problem? Sony bug or in apps?

I also have this problem and I have restored factory settings 3 times already and I don't plan on doing it again.

Each time I have toggled SD card encryption on and off and no luck. Netflix, OSMAnd and many other apps don't even see the SD card and isn't an option.

The phone itself sees it and I can browse the card and write files to it using a file manager. The camera app also sees it and can write to it.

However Google Photos is not able to delete from the SD card. When it attempts it, it requests the user to use the picture library app and delete it from there.

Renders my SD card useless.

Hope there's a fix for this.
