TX1XP - Screen Display

Dear all

I purchased a Sony Vaio VGN-TX1XP about ten months ago and I have been really pleased with it. However, I have an increasing problem with my screen display. Despite my best efforts to clean the keyboard and screen using cleaning tissues for LCD displays, the keyboard is leaving an "impression" on the screen when opened. The problem is worst in a couple of areas where the edges of the keys have left a straight line. I can't get this off!

I'm pretty annoyed with the design as it appears that the laptop doesn't have enough space between the screen and the keyboard when closed. Is this something I could claim for under my warranty as I have not misused my laptop in anyway?

Hi Ian,

I'm not sure how Sony will view a warranty claim but it is important to log your case vith Vaio-Link support before your warranty expires. Telephone is usually the most effective route.
