No volume bar + Media Centre

Hi there
I recently read a thread about this, but I can't seem to find it back through the search function.
When I adjust the volume on my FE21m there is recently no more volume bar displayed on my screen. The buttons work fine, it's just the onscreen volume bar.
I just found out that after I open media centre once, the green bar appears again.
It works perfect untill I restart my computer.
Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Just in case anyone is interested or has the same problem... I have found the solution.
I started looking at processes in my task manager that only started up after Media Centre was started and found out it had to do with 'ehtray.exe'.
so I made sure that service starts up when windows starts and now I have my volume bar back all the time!
