Mp3 transfer

After a month or so that i bought my vp i still have no way of transfering mp3s directly on the vp as SONY promised when releasing the firmware/sonicstage updates.

if anyone has found a way to transfer mp3s without them being turned into oma files please share it with us....

i did what Gazza13 said about converting oma files back to mp3,which was through a converter but its got many probs and it is very slow as a programm so i guess that it isnt much of a solution in the end.

i certainly hope that sonicstage 3.0 will fix at least the mp3 transfer problem, but still SONY was not honest with all the vp users as the company tricked people to buy it...
i think they've got to support vp users as the whole sonicstage transfer thing is a big mess, considering that ipod proceedures are as easy as hell.

This is from the Support. This means is Official !

Solution V00139

Description:

I am unable to transfer a MP3 file to my VAIO Pocket.

Solution:

Check that the MP3 file is not copyright-protected. If an MP3 file is copyrigh- protected, it cannot be converted in Sonicstage or in Vaio Music Transfer, and cannot be transferred to the VAIO Pocket.

Bull s....(I wrote correctly ???)

Another explanation say... Just the version at computers from sony can do that...

This don't help anyway...

so you're saying that there is no chance i will be able to transfer mp3 directly?

i hope that the sonicstage 3.0 can do that,or else i ll have to copy all my files on the vaio as single files not as recognizable music.

another thing.i read that you have to initialise your vp when you update sonicstage.that would mean that you lose all your files right?that is a hell of a mess if you ask me,i worked really hard to place everything and make sure it is properly showed as for its genre and covers.:smileysad:
