I have just bought a Sony PCV-RS704 desktop and tried to upgrade the sound card to a Creative Audigy2 ZS. After installation of card and software - the Live TV wouldn't work. Once I uninstalled the software the TV worked again. Any ideas why this may be? I realised that I didn't use updated XP drivers for the Creative sound card - could that be the reason the TV wouldn't work? Thanks for any advice...
In the days of Gigapocket, you had to physically connect the soundcard to the Audigy.
Like one of those DVD-ROM audio cables.
Did you solve this problem because I think I have the same problem with my RS604?
Best Wishes
No I still haven't resolved this problem. My expensive Sony desktop with all the trimmings still only has 2 front speakers connected to it . Can't work out how to install new sound card and surround sound without interferring with Live TV...any help out there? Thx...
Is it using Gigapocket or VAIO Zone?
IN case you still have not fixed the problem. Mine worked when I connected the TV card to the new sound card with a standard internal wire.
You then have to go into settings and set up the sound card and it works fine.
