Horrible Support by Sony..

Hi,
I posted a new case in e-support for my vaio laptop 4 days back, I had a new vaio VGN-F31H bought just a few months ago, some coke splashes went into my keyboard, and of course the immediate action should be to consult support. Since that time i havent received any reponse from them ? what kind of service are they providing. Why they charage so much for their laptops if they can not give timely support, there is no other contact email address where i can show my concern ! what is all this ? Is it a general norm of their e-support ? I am dissapointed,...could any one guide me on this..

I totaly agree with you there....I bought a vgc-ra 2 years ago, the power pack blew up last friday and it's impossible to get the part from sony as they don't sell parts....i guess they expect me to buy a new pc :laughing: no way

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately sir, liquid spillage is not covered by our warranty. Therefore the only thing that I can recommend is that you thoroughly clean the keys with a lint free cloth. You can have the unit sent in for repair but it would be chargable. The minimum fee would be £143 and that would cover having your keyboard replaced.

i have asked him, that i want to give my laptop for repair , how to proceed ?
i am waiting for their next reply , again i am not sure how long they take..
some people have told me that they fix the laptops in belgium and some times it takes too long ? what do you say on this..
I am a computer science student, i cant afford it if they take like months ? what do you guys suggest.

Hi

If you call them in the morning and arrange a pickup they'll send DHL to pick it up, fix it and return it hopefully within 7 working days.

I wouldn't have expected your warranty to cover accidental damage, I hope your laptop gets a speedy repair.. :slight_smile:

Sony support in UK is really Horrible..

I am quiet surprised to see such a pathatic service from SONY..
