My volume control close to touch pad does not work anymore. Maybe I have installed a software guilty of this malfunction but I have to find a solution without Recoverying it.
Unfortunately there is no Hot Key Patch on Vaio-Link.

Description:

The hotkeys on my keyboard are not working.

Solution:

This solution applies to VAIOs with Windows 98 preinstalled.

1. Click Start, point to Find and then click Files or Folders.
2. Type hotkey in the Named box.
3. Make sure you can see Vaionote (C:) in the Look in section.
4. Click Find Now.
5. Double-click Hotkey Utility, right-click the HKServ icon and click Copy.
6. Close all open windows on the screen.
7. Right-click Start and click Explore.
8. Double-click Programs on the Start menu.
9. Double-click StartUp and then in the right pane, right click and paste the HKServ application.
