A317S won't turn on - help!!!!

I have an A317S and all of a sudden my laptop won't start. When I press the power on button nothing happens. I've tried it with the battery in, the battery out. AC lead in, AC lead out, everything I can think of. But there is no life at all, no flickering lights, no hard drive spin, no fan, no nothing!

Does anyone have any ideas at all why this could be happening? I've heard it could be to do with the RAM but I've no idea where the RAM slot is, could anyone point me in the right direction for this?

Thanks

how long did you had your a317s?.. if you are looking for the memory slot... it under the keyboard.. which means you need to take out three screw at the back of your vaio and use a small screw drive and push the at between ctrl and Fn, centre of space bar, down arrow key to take out the keyboard.

Thanks for your help, will try & changing the RAM card around. There's 2 slots so hopefully changing slots may help. Have had it only about a month. I'm just hoping I don't have to send it back to Sony.....

Good point though, don't take the machine apart if it's in warranty
