XperiaP TV output via HDMI cable

When I tried to connect my Xperia P LT22i phone to my TV through the Sony IM820 HDMI cable, the picture quality is not so good. The TV output is pixelated and is not so amusing to watch. The TV is Toshiba 32PB10ZE (not full HD). Is there anything to do with the hdmi cable? I read this thread about type of hdmi cable http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/29282

Please suggest me if the picture will get better with a hdmi cable type 1.3 above?

the issue seems to be the TV not the cable or the phone

also try different pictures

OK. The quality is just not with any photo.. the launcher/home screen of TV itself is pixellated. Same is observed for any photo, video or game!

You are absolutely right. It is the TV not cable caused problem. It worked well with my neighbour's full HD sony LED TV. Thanks a lot for the answer. Marked the Correct Answer!
