XPERIA X8 Issues

Hello Everybody,

     Is anyone experiencing some issues with the X8,

I have a few problems with the X8 which I list below.

1. Downloading MMS settings does not work.

2. Some operator messages cannot be replied to.

3. The Music player does not have Playlist!!! This is such a let down. I don't want to be scrolling all the time to play another song.

4. When the phone syncs with address book from Google it deleted the contacts!

5. In Call volume is low, and the slider displayed shows there is some more volume left but it wont move anymore.

6. Can the SW prevent crucial things from getting uninstalled. I mean there are some system apps that could be uninstalled thay may cause the phone to brick out.

7. No Alert Profile are available, either silent or audible. Nothing like discreet or extra loud.

8. The Keypad slows down so significantly when the message thread is a bit long. It gets annoying to type. Also Some words need to be unlearnt.

Am I missing something as to how the phone shold be configured or what?

Other than that, the phone is awesome, great value for money. Although I wouldn't mind paying for a much higher spec version in the same form factor. I love my X8 more than this X10 or X10miniPro.

After updating to 2.1, I have the same problem with rebooting when connecting to USB.  This is really annoying.

It can be temporarily resolved by putting the phone to silent mode prior to PC connection, it works for me.

Anyway, is there anyone have restarting issue with camera apps? I tried Retro Camera and Camera 360, both occasionally restarted my phone. Not good for instant photo taking.

After updating to 2.1 there was a problem: it is impossible will phone on my phone if I use the Internet. Prompt, please in what business. Thanks.

somehow my phone can't connect to  android market/ facebook / even setup a google account .. although the browser is working pretty well and i can connect to any webpage through the phone inbuilt browser .. someone plz help ..

I don't care about what is in market but I want equalizers in music player and settings for the Camera too I Mean common these are basic things

i agree..........

it has a camera but no zoom...........

ability to connect to net but at wat cost.........VODAFONE MOBILE CONNECT...........bloody hefty

messaging facility with good feature of Conversation...........but many times itz a nusense.............

no connection to droid mkt on pc

the basic phone is nothing to like.............

I just wanted to buy a XPERIA X8. Is it worth and advisable if all these problems persist? Last monday I bought a Sony Spiro for my daughter, it is giving almost all the problems, no sms in as well as out, frequently switching off, etc. Is whether the Sony is not keeping their quality as it used to do earlier? Somebody advice me
