Xperia X-10 1.5 years old. Was working fine, but just after the one year mark (a week out of warranty), it locked up and restarted. Since then it did nothing but rolling restarts all day/every day--gradually increasing in frequency. Normally, I would fix this by reloading android. Then that too didn't help, so I started removing the battery, waiting 10 seconds, and replacing it. Or a hardware reset (holding mid button and power). That solved the issue for almost 2 months. Now, that does not even work.
I have tried replacing the battery, flashing to old/new android (this was made difficult because sony has removed the X10 from their software list section of the website--ironically, the only phone to be removed). It has since turned off and will not turn on OR charge.
I have tried holding the middle button and power--it vibrates and nothing (except for a blinking green light every 10 seconds)
I have tried holding the back button and power--it vibrates and nothing (except for a blinking green light every 10 seconds)
I cannot update/flash/anything anymore because the phone will not turn on. Thus, PC companion will not work with the phone.
I will try getting the phone serviced, but since I am out of the 1 year warranty, I am probably S.O.L. My upgrade doesn't come up again for 6 more months. As it stands right now, I will try to be reasonable with SE and attempt to get the phone fixed or replaced and the issue resolved. Hopefully they will not fully alienate me as a future customer for life.
EDIT: -I would like to add that any attempt to power on the phone, it will vibrate but after that, nothing (not even the SE startup screen) except a blinking green light (notification light). The light will blink 1 time every 10 seconds.

Your reply enabled me to reinstall android. I did lose everything; all my contacts, add nauseum, BUT I now have a working phone. Let's see if it will stay working this time. Thank you!
