Xperia S one week old hangs up

Hi

I am from INDIA and have bought this fabulous smartphone a week ago but it has started bugging me a lot.

1. 3 days back, while playing doodle jump , my phone suddenly showed a red lines on the screen and then got shut down.

On restarting everthing seems fine but i stopped playing that game.

2.  I was using Google goggles with a  snapshot (clicked by same phone) . But the phone hanged on that screen .It showed initialising for a infinite time.Though people were able to call me during that time , my phone just showed the initialising screen of google goggles

I have to ultimately restart the phone. My friends have started to question my decision of buying this phone.

My phone is having build 6.0.A.3.62 and kernel version 2.6.35.11.

Please provide a fix .

Thanks

rocknawal

What 50GB promotions does Box currently have and when do they end?

  • LG Android phones and tablets: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your device and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
  • All other Android phones and tablets: This promotion has ended.
  • Sony Tablet S and Tablet P: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
  • HP TouchPad: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for TouchPad on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
  • RIM PlayBook: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for PlayBook on your tablet and sign in to get your upgrade automatically.
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia phones: Now through 12/31/12, download Box for Android on your smartphone and log in to get your upgrade automatically.
  • Apple devices: This promotion has ended.

How do I get my 50GB?

  • If you’re brand new to Box, you’ll need to download the app from your device and sign up for a free Box account. After the sign up is complete, log into your account from the device. Your upgrade should be complete and you’ll see a confirmation message.
  • If you already have an older version of the Box app on your device, you just need to sign into your account on your device and the upgrade should be complete.
  • Note that this promotion is only for free Box Personal accounts; if you are a Box Business, Enterprise or paid Personal customer you do not qualify for this promotion.

did you downloaded that game from the market or did you sideload the app?

regarding google goggles, this might be a dumb question but did you had a data plan or wifi connection?

also go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> google goggles -> clear data and try again

if it comes to worse I would recomend that you backup everything and repair your phone with SUS or PCC

Make sure you backup everything

Settings -> privacy -> Back up my data and Automatic restore should be selected

and also

SMS/MMS/Call Logs

Install "backup SMS+" to back up your SMS, MMS and Call Logs  to your Gmail

or just SMS use

"backup & restore SMS"

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore&feature=search_result

or just MMS use "Save MMS"

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.schwimmer.android.mmsextract&feature=search_result

Call Logs (Just call logs)

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.yang.android.ansta

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Hi

I download all the apps from Google play.

I was using data plan 2G both the times i faced the problem.

But the doodle jump app doesnt use internet  ..its a game.

I updated my phone last night and is on .62 build now. All the apps i had installed are gone.  Slightly_frowning_Face

Wish not to have such a problem again.

so even game was from the market? using a 2G internet connection will explain the lag on google goggles, the other issue with the game it could be an issue with the game it self, maybe when it was downloaded something went wrong.
