hello everyone,
I own a xperia s L26i handset.
I bought it in october 2012.
from last month, my phone gets hanged up or freezes and only a black screen appears. the back key, home key, nothing works.
sometimes the power onoff button works, and if i try to shut my phone down it gets stuck doing that even.
I finally have to do hard reset of the phone by pressing the volume up key and power on/off button together.
this happens 2-3 times daily..
What is the problem with my phone. please somebody help me.. I just love my phone and cannot live without it..:smileysad:
please help.....

most likely its an app acting up
it could be an intrusive app such as
taskiller, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps, booster apps
repair your phone with SUS or PCC and check again.

I do have installed an auto task killer. let me delete that, and observe if the problem still persists.
But i installed a task killer beacuse, previously in my phone, it used to hang up for few seconds and then automatically, few games, camera and in short all the apps that i have used before will start opening...
and I have to press return key again and again, and in the end there will be 2 apps left which will open automatically...
why does this happen??
you don't need any of those apps, make sure to uninstall any antivirus/mcafee.
it might be also another poor coded apps. which apps were you using?
I download apps from google play store only..
the apps which open autmatically are temple run, camera, messaging, whatsapp, basically all basic apps.
also which anti virus is the best for phone.
i have avg antvirus??
you do NOT need an antivirus at all, there aren't virus on android, antivirus will slow down your phone, create issues and drain your battery.
oh.. but then when we use internet on phone and download stuff, wont it be risky not having an antivirus,,??
even with an antivirus it's risky to download stuff from dubious websites, again there aren't virus(es) on android, there are Malware apps, but as long as you download apps from the play store you should be ok and also make sure that install from unknown sources its not selected.
okay..
thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge...
