Xperia s custom sms tone?

Hi, I have the ICS update installed and was wondering; if I have a custom sound on my PC that I want to upload to my phone and use as a message recieve tone, where do I select it as the sms tone on my phone? I can go to settings in messages and select an sms tone but there are only default tones that came with the phone and it doesn't let me browse for sounds like a normal phone does, which is a let down.

Is there an app that will let me choose a custom tone?

Isn't it just place the file in 'media/audio/notifications' as usual on Android devices or replace notifications with ringtones for ringtones.  Haven't got ICS yet so can't confirm but has worked since Cupcake for me and still does on GB.

Use Astro or something to move the file

do you mean the notification one?..

here,

Settings -> Default Notification -> then select Sound Picker,,(then inside the sound pickertouch the music icon on the upper right then select what music you want or tone you want,,,

Send any tone/ song to SD card

Go to SMS app > menu button > settings > Notification tone > Scrol Down to the last > Music library > select the tone
