Hi
I have an Xperia Ray with SI 1252-3268 bought from Vodafone UK in Marc h 2012.
I am still on Android 2.3.4.
Does anyone know when or if this handset will be upgraded to ICS?
If it is upgraded, is it worth the wait?
If an upgarde is available, how do I get it?
Thanks
Alan

contact Vodafone UK as it's up to them to release the update, but there are networks that are NOT going to release the update, O2 is one of them

Unfortunately it's not up to vodafone, that SI number is same as mine, and that means it's an unlocked phone. We will either never get it, or once all the networks have either agreed to update or not (which is highly unlikely both ways), then we might finally see it on our phones.
Thanks to both sami1402 and uliwooly.
I've seen that this SI number is not on the published list for the Xperia Ray, so I'm not holding my breath.
I've taken uliwooly's advice and posted on the Vodafone site, but the thread went cold in May
I agree with uliwooly - someone somewhere must have a plan - why not publish it?
I can't believe after patiently waiting since May, I now find out my phone is unlocked, so won't be updated! Ahhh! Buying on a Vodafone PAYG, I'd assumed it would be locked.
Having read this forum, I actually phoned Vodafone. They say software upgrades are nothing to do with them, even if the phone is locked.
I think the solution is to ignore the lack of corporate repsonsibility, and just help yourself by following the instructions to upgrade manually given by uliwooly.... and hope your phone still works at the end!
that's not right that Vodafone employees are lying to you, it is up to the network to approve or not the update.
