Xperia neo update availability in India.

Hello guys. I am from India and I am gonna buy an xperia neo from singapore. I just want to know whether i would be able to update the phone from India. Will there be an update?

Also if I update will there be any problems with the phone coz it ifs from another country. Will there be any malfunction?

I really want the xperia Neo coz i love it. In India xperia neo is not availabe, only neo V is available. Idont want to buy neo V.

Your warranty will not be of any use in india

you can update it easily , there shall be no problem...

if the update is released in singapore , then only you will be able to download any update here in india ,

like if one update is present in singapore but not in india , you will get that update even in india

be aware , as 100rabh above said , if anything happens , because of the update or any faulty part , it will not be covered under warranty in india... you have to go back to singapore to avail warranty...

you can try xperia arc also its avaialble for 22000 , for how much you are getting the neo from singapore..?

when you connect your phone , pc companion checks the system info so it checks that where the phone is from..and check the updates of the respective region...

there should be no problem

Actually my brother will be getting me that phone for the price of neo V. Around 17500Rs, and all i wanted to know was whether I could update the phone from India as soon as the updates are available.

Now my doubts have been cleared. Thanx to all who replied.

Still disappointed about unavailability of neo in India  and also the warranty.

My needs are 8mp xmor-R camera sensor (Available in Neo and Ray but not in Neo V)

Bigger screen size (Available in Neo and Neo V but not in Ray)

HDMI port and handy design ( Neo and Neo V)

Badly needed the 8mp cam and bigger display, that why I am going for Neo and not the Neo V or Ray.

Also the Neo V and Ray are suplied with regular style headphones. I wanted the in ear type that is available with the Neo and an 8GB card.:smileyhappy:

its awesome awesome....

i wiated for neo for 5 months then finally bought the arc ( just because i wanted a phone )

but i love this phone.. and i might have made a mistake buying neo no problems in it but now i feel so..

slim design , 8 mp camera , hdmi , bigger screen than neo neo has 3.7 and arc has 4.2

amazing..

i bought it for 27000 in june end , now its avaialbe for around 21-22000

you should definately go for the arc....

arc also has the same earphones that you need...
